Lagos state commissioner for health, Dr.
Jide Idris, has said the state has taken several steps to tackle blindness and other eye health challenges among children in the state's various schools.
According to him, more than 65,000 students have been screened for eye health issues while more than 1,000 teachers have been trained on how to identify students with visual impairments.
He said the reason why the state government is promoting eye health is because of the direct correlation between good eye health and academic success.
He said: “Poor
vision and eye health significantly affect the capacity of children to learn
and succeed academically. Not seeing clearly means being less able to
learn as fast or as well as children with good vision leading to lower marks,
de-motivation and demoralization, social and emotional problems frequently
accompany educational problem.”
I had the same driving teacher for all 5 of my classes (several lessons were coupled together to make 5 hour and a half lessons) and he really prepared me for the driving test.
ReplyDeleteI only had 5 driving lessons. The coach was really wise and told me to look out for everything. There was about a month in between my second and third lesson because I had to go out.
