Healthcare Information For All by 2015
(HIFA2015) is a global campaign and think-tank that brings together more
than 6,000 health professionals, librarians and publishers from 167
countries worldwide, all committed to a common goal: By 2015, every
person worldwide will have access to an informed health care provider. It
was launched at the 10th Congress of the Association for Health
Information and Libraries in Africa, in Mombasa, Kenya, in 2006.
The
campaign highlights the lack of availability of relevant, reliable
healthcare information for health workers and citizens in developing
countries, and what needs to be done about it. Members share expertise
and experience on five dynamic global email forums, in English,
Portuguese and French. The two main English forums are HIFA2015 and
CHILD2015 (child health). During 2013, the campaign includes a special
focus on the information and learning needs of prescribers and users of
medicines.
To join HIFA2015 and/or CHILD2015, interested organizations are enjoined to visit www.hifa2015.org
and click on Join. Representatives of organizations can also do so by sending an email containing their name, position, organisation and email address to:
admin@hifa2015.org
