The Nigerian Red Cross has announced popular actresses, Tonto Dikeh and Stella Damasus are no longer its brand ambassadors. According to the Nigerian Red Cross, the reputation and lifestyles of both actresses compelled it to make the decision.
Watchers of the Nigerian entertainment sector believe Dikeh was dropped from the list of the Nigerian Red Cross' brand ambassadors as a result of heavy tattoos and personality issues while Damasus' recent scandal with the husband of a fellow actress may be responsible for the decision of the Nigerian Red Cross.
"Tonto asides her heavy tattoos also had personality problems, especially
the excess use of tobacco. While Stella was screened out from the race
because of a recent marriage scandal between fellow actress Doris
Simeon’s husband and her," TalkofNaija stated.
It would be recalled that the Nigerian Red Cross recently announced several Nigerian superstars including popular actors and singers as its brand ambassadors. Those announced included Olu Jacobs, Alex Usifo Omiagbo, Joke Silva, Tonto Dikeh, Stella Damasus,
2Face Idibia, P-Sqaure, Davido, 9ice, Banky W, Naeto C, Ali Baba Don
Jazzy, Julius Agwu and AY.
