If Labour Party wins the August 9, 2014 gubernatorial election, then all pregnant women in Osun State would enjoy free healthcare till after delivery, the Party candidate, Alhaji Fatai Akinbade has promised.
In addition, Akinbade assured that a Diagnostic Centre that would be imbued with state of the art facilities would be established with a view to unraveling health related challenges.
According to Mr. Kayode Oladeji, his Director of media, Akinbade made the promise while speaking with over 500 women in Osogbo under the aegis of Women for Positive Change led by Dr (Mrs.) Eunice Adedayo.
He said that in addition to the qualitative free health his administration would give to the indigenes of the state, premium would be placed on pregnant women.
This, Akinbade contended, would go a long way in reducing incidences related to pregnancies, 'We believe one of the surest way of preserving our future is to pay solid attention to our present because if we are able to take care of our pregnant women, this will not only reduce mortality rate but will ensure the delivery of healthy children, who are the tomorrow of this country".
The LP candidate assured that his administration would put in place a diagnostic centre that would meet the needed challenges and at the same time be a revenue generation base for the state.
