The Association of Medical
Laboratory Scientists of Nigeria (AMLSN) Imo State Chapter will hold a two-day
CPD workshop to promote professionalism in the practice of Medical Laboratory
Science in Imo state.
Speaking to HealthNewsNG.com's reporter in
Owerri, the state Vice Chairman of the Association and Secretary of the
Organizing Committee, Mrs Precious Asili, highlighted the various advantages of
the CPD and what it aims to achieve.
"One of the aims of the
CPD is to ensure that members are up to date with recent developments and
innovations in the the field of medical laboratory science" she said.
The event promises to bring together erudite
scholars from the Medical Laboratory Profession.
On the response of members,
she said it has been encouraging as members who have even acquired the
required 10 credit units for renewal are still registering to participate in
order to acquire more knowledge and update their knowledge.
The event will hold this week
at the Dreamland Hotels, Owerri, the Imo State capital and expected to deliver lectures at the event
are; Prof Mrs N.O. Onyenelukwe, Assc. Prof. G.C. Ojiegbe, Dr D.C. Nwosu, Mike
Dada and Chinyere Okoro.
