This year's edition of the annual World Multiple System Atrophy Day will be marked in Nigeria with a special candle lighting event to be held in memory of those who have lost their lives to the condition.
According to the organizers of the event, the special candle lighting will be held in Lagos at the St. Saviour’s, Hall, Onikanat 8p.m.
On the relevance of the day, Anthony Risha, chairman of Funmi Fashina Foundation said on the World MSA day, awareness is raised concerning the unusual syndrome. He added that the focus on such days is to illuminate members of the public on the causes, prevention and cure of MSA.
