The move, the government said, would help in tackling stigmatization of people living with AIDS in the state.
According to the state's commissioner for health, Dr. Kennedy Ishaya, the action is needed to facilitate easy accessibility to medical records, thus enhancing the care of people living with this disease.
"Each user would have electronic records with mobile numbers attached so when a caller would contact the toll line for information needed, they would easily access such information and prescription would be provided to clients when required by a medical professional," he said.
With the record system, he said the state would be able to tackle stigmatization of people living with the virus in the state.
He urged other Nigerian states and the federal government to follow suit.
